National Police Shooting Championships
September 14-18, 2014
The 2014 National Police Shooting Championships will be held at the NPSC Police Pistol Combat ranges at Shooting Range Park in Albuquerque, New Mexico. You do not have to have to have a PPC Classification to register and there are no qualifying requirements.
Open to any eligible law enforcement member, the Championships will begin with a NRA Tactical Police Competition event on Saturday & Sunday, September 13th and 14th (shoot one of the two days). NPSC on site competitor check-in will be on Sunday the 14th, and the NPSC Shotgun Championship Match will begin on Sunday and continue through Wednesday afternoon on the 17th.
Individual NPSC Handgun Championship matches will begin after opening ceremonies on Monday the 15th and continue through Wednesday, September 17th. Competitors can select to fire in just one match or fire in all of the Championship match events.
NEW THIS YEAR: All Team Matches will be unfired paper matches using the aggregate scores of the individual scores of the team from the corresponding individual matches. For instance, for the Open Class Semi-Automatic Pistol Four Officer Team Match, the team member’s individual Match 12 scores will be added together for the team score. This change is being made to reduce the Championships by one day in order to save food and hotel costs as well as annual leave for competitors and reduce the ammunition burden to shooters. It should also allow more competitors to participate in the team matches since in the past many shooters could not afford to add another day to their travel.
